Argumentative Essay: Analysis of a Filmmaker or Actor & Key Scenes

    Task description You will develop an argument supporting the claim that contemporary audiences and/or professional critics respond to a filmmaker or a film actor based on the perception there is a recognisable style recurrent in their work. Support your argument by analysing a number of key scenes from some of the filmmaker's or actor's films through a specific analytical frame. From the list provided, choose a ONE filmmaker OR ONE actor, and a few (1-3) key scenes from their body of work. Then analyse your chosen filmmaker and their key scenes through ONE of the following analytical frames: EITHER auteur analysis OR star studies.
