The first section will analyze the situation/interaction that occurred. This is your artifact. This could be an interaction you had or one you witnessed. You will provide the details of what happened in the interaction (be as detailed as possible because your reader was not there to witness the interaction).
The second section will be your chance to: a. explain a concept discussed in the text and b. put that concept into your own words. You should cite the portions of the textbook where you draw the information about interpersonal communication. Do not discuss the artifact in section II, but give McCornack’s definition of the interpersonal concept and your understanding of a key concept from the course.
The final section is where you will apply the concept you explained in the second section to the situation/artifact that you described in the first section. Think of the first section as “what happened” and the final section as “why it happened”. You should cite your sources in APA format (including page numbers.)
