The PE teacher notices some cuts on Bella's arm. She asks her about these. At first Bella says these were caused by her cat. A few weeks later, the PE teacher also notices a cut on Bella's side. She again asks about this and Bella admits that she has been cutting herself. The teacher arranges a meeting between Bella and School Nurse . Bella tells the school nurse that she uses cutting to cope with the pressures in her life. With Bella's permission, the School Nurse speaks with Bella's parents and makes a referral to Child and Adolescent Mental Service. The family attend for an initial screening meeting . Based on that meeting , it is agreed that the family will be offered 6 sessions of task -center practice focusing on addressing Bella 's self-harm. You are now meeting Maria, David and Bella as a CAMHS worker.
