Write a technical report that describes client-server computing. Your report should be structured as follows. I. Introduction. In at least one paragraph, clearly describe your understanding of client-server computing. Use a diagram to illustrate your point. (5 points) II. Explain the differences between central processing, distributed processing, and cooperative processing in a client-server environment. You must use a diagram to explain your point. (4 points). III. Describe how client-server communication takes place. What are the applications/software involved? (4 points). IV. Explain the security concerns one has to be aware of when designing a client-server environment. What are some of the mechanism available to nip those security breaches in the bud? (5 points). V. Pick three examples of recent large-scale security breaches in client-server environments that have occurred in the United States. What was/were the entry points of the hackers/intruders? After how long did the affected companies find out about the security breaches? Why do you think it took a little longer to detect the security breaches? (6 points). VI. Log into scholar.google.com or sciencedirect com. Find a recent scientific paper on client-server computing. Review the paper in about one page or more. Your review should summarize the general idea of the paper; what you agree with about the paper, and what you think the author of the paper may have left out or can improve upon. You must give the full title of the paper you are reviewing and name(s) of the author(s). (6 points). Extra Credit Log into scholar.google.com and type Jared Oluoch. You will see a paper titled “Advances on localization techniques for wireless sensor networks: A Survey.” Review the paper based on the guidelines outlined in VI above. (5 points). Note. You will be able to assess the paper when you are log in the UT network. Grading Criteria I. Is the technical report well-structured, original, with clear, concise English grammar? II. Does the student cite the relevant sources? III. Does the student apply the concepts learned throughout the semester in the technical report? IV. Do the ideas flow logically and coherently?
