Core Value Reflection

Core Value Reflection Order Description Core values are intended to be set before each season starts by getting the input from a number of stakeholders. Those giving input can come from the head coach, assistant coaches, and selected team leaders. Many times though, the process of intentionally determining core values does not take place. When the direction of the group is not declared by defining the core values, then there is greater opportunity for confusion or for a different influence to come in and set the tone. Have you ever been a part of a program where the core values were not clear or upheld? Have you witnessed a situation where the values were set by an influential athlete that did not have great character? What affect did this have on the team? What might have been the effect on those teams if a set of core values were developed collaboratively and agreed upon by all invested parties at the beginning of the season? Would it have improved the �journey�? Explain
