Coronavirus
In 1992, Prof. Shah went to Hong Kong for a visit. He stayed at the famous Metropole Hotel. In 2003, the same hotel became the HOT SPOT for Patient Zero in the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) epidemic. SARS is a coronavirus that infected many in China and spread throughout the world. Now, in 2020, we are facing another coronavirus, currently known as Novel coronavirus.
Questions:
1) Why did SARS just disappear as quickly as it spread around the world?
2) Not counting humans, name 3 specific animals that normally carry coronavirus.
3) Although the current Novel coronavirus is less deadly, why is it expected to be worse than SARS?
