Discipleship Then and Now

Assignment 1: Discipleship Then and Now Order Description Assignment 1: Discipleship Then and Now Introduction We have addressed the difference today between what it means to be only a believer in Jesus Christ and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. We have examined and read that most important chapter "On Being a Disciple, Or Student, of Jesus" from your course textbook The Divine Conspiracy: Rediscovering Our Hidden Life in God, which clarifies what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in modern times. Tasks: In 400–500 words, post to the Discussion Area your responses to the following questions: If I am Jesus’s disciple, that means I am with him to learn from him how to be like him (Willard 1998, 276). How are you with Jesus, and in what ways are you learning from him how to be like him? From reading the chapter “On Being a Disciple, Or Student, of Jesus,” what stood out for you in a prominent fashion about being a disciple of Jesus? Why was it significant to you? How will your relationship with—or "followship of"—Christ change as a result? How might you be changed over time from the inside out?
