DISSERTATION PRESENTATION SPECIFFICATION.

Present the key aspects of the research project (background, methods, planned analyses, expected results, potential outcomes and conclusions). A secondary aim of the presentation, therefore, is to help focus upon the most important features of the research prior to the write up of the Project report.

  1. Title slide: Project Title, your name, ID number and supervisor
  2. Theoretical and empirical background
  3. Research question(s)/ hypotheses
  4. Methods
  5. Analyses proposed
  6. Potential results and implications

Prepare 1-2 slide for each section. It is recommended that you include no more than 10 slides in the presentation (spend about 1 minute per slide)
Present only key points and use visualization to highlight the structure of your presentation and connections between key points and sections
Recommended formatting and layout of slides
• Minimum of 18px font size
• Use sans-serif fonts (e.g., Arial, Helvetica) as they are easier to read in digital formats.
• Use bullet points, icons, develop tables, schemes
• Less if often more! Avoid information overload
• Switch off coloured background when printing the handout
You can present your references on the slide on which you are citing them
