Pick 1 of the following 4 topics:
1. Does God exist? Which arguments do you find most persuasive? Why?
2. Do you think that there is a meaning to be found in life? If so, what it is and how do we find it?
3. How do the mind and body relate to each other?
4. What is death? Is it the end of us? Or do you think there is some kind of afterlife? Should we fear death? Why or why not? How can we face death with courage?
Grading Guidelines:
■ You can lose points for spelling, grammar, and mechanics. Not many, but some. Make sure to proof read and spell check your paper. • Keep to times new roman 12pt font and 1 inch margins for your paper. I will doc some points if this is not adhered to. • write in first person: use "I" and "me" • Double space your entire paper. Do not use extra spaces between paragraphs.
■ Your paper MUST be 3 FULL pages, 4-5 pages is acceptable, I recommend you don't go beyond page 5. • Be sure that your name is on the paper, and that all pages are numbered. • The main focus of the grading will be content, to which the following matter most: (a) did you answer every single part of the question?, (b) do you provide ARGUMENTS for your view!, (c) is your writing clear and precise, (d) have you defined key terms.
■ Finally, be sure that your paper is structured in the essay format: this means you MUST have a clear intro, body, and conclusion.
