Early American history

Early American history in the news: Journalists, politicians, and commentators frequently refer to events, people or ideas in American history.
Watch for these instances while reading a reputable news source; YouTube, Yahoo, Google, and Social Media outlets are not appropriate sources.
Summarize and analyze the reference to the past we are discussing in the course, and make sure your connection to history is clear. DO NOT only summarize the article itself, but instead make sure you explain and show how the article relates to early American history. The news item should be within a 4-month period.
This assignment should be:

  • Typed, double-spaced, and with Times New Roman font
  • Minimum of 3 FULL pages in length
  • NO footnotes are needed, if you are citing the article itself, use ''(article name), if you are citing the textbook do the same but put (Foner). Always use quotation marks when using words that are not your own (*"). Failing to do so will result in a zero on the assignment and possible disciplinary action.
