Speroni, McLaughlin & Friesen, (2020) examined the use of evidence-based practice models among hospitals. The method was a cross-sectional survey of nursing leaders, and asked specific questions about the specific model used, as well as about implementation of evidence into practice.
The study found that there was >90% EBP model use. The authors encourage nursing leaders to prioritize evaluation and implementation of evidence into practice.
All of us have the responsibility to ensure EBP in our clinical settings, and I hope that all of you are becoming more comfortable as we go through developing our EBP Proposals.
