the first group of people listed up to Abigail are in 1 Samuel, and the next group up to Shemei are in 2 Samuel, etc. So review them in their context (book) and why
they are significant. For example, what did Shemei do that made him infamous when David was running for his life from Absalom his son?
Also, they may ask a question like who came first? Abab or Jehu? So you may want to know the chronology of certain reigns. There are four of these question of who
reigned first, and six more of who came first. Most of them are far apart chronologically so if you can remember them they are easy to tell which came first. They will
give two options so you have a 50/50 chance! LOL! But sometimes they will ask you to match a character with what he/she is famous for or what book they are associated
with. Fortunately (because there is no such thing as luck), they repeat the 9 options that you have, so you can actually go back and change your answer if you realize
their is a better answer. Almost half the test is matching by the way (hesed!). If you study the answer sheet (study guide) then you should do well especially if you
know your Bible (BE 103) books. I would add the Shunammite to your list of people from Kings and Elisha's ministry and don't forget there are two of them (electric
blanket)! They may also ask a question like who said, "it is better to obey than sacrifice?" Or "Far be if from me, if I don't pray for you!" Sometimes the same person
can be chosen but rarely.
There were a couple of questions that stumped me, like the difference between "instruction (musar)" and a "maxim (maybe mashal, I didn't write the test)" or something
like that. Instruction is a longer piece of wisdom like in chapters 1-9, while a maxim is a proverb (short and pithy). Anyway, I didn't talk about that and that's a
free one for you all.
do a search on Logos or Bibleworks and make sure you know why those places are important and what important event happened there. ask something like where was the
Ark of the Covenant taken? Or where did Saul take his last stand? The list is not that long so know these places and their biblical context.
Probably the easiest section is events and ideas as these often go together, so don't tell anyone, but you have both the question and the answer for some of these. For
example, they might ask what is the beginning of the Kingdom Period? This is implied with Saul's reign who was the first bad example of a king. Or they might ask you
when and where was the fall of the northern kingdom? The answer is found in events and dates. The only tricky one is what Assyrian king did what and when? One king
invaded the southern kingdom but did not completely destroy it, while the other exiled it. I would add to your list Beth Shemesh and what happened there, and 1 Kings 8
and its significance, and the proverbs of Solomon specifically mentioned in Proverbs (parallelisms).
