• Improved Investigation and Prosecution: Invest in training for law enforcement and prosecutors to effectively investigate and prosecute cases of gender-based violence.
• Victim-Centered Justice: Prioritize the needs and safety of survivors throughout the justice process.

4. Community Engagement:

• Community-Based Programs: Support community-based programs that address violence against women, such as those focused on men's engagement and addressing harmful masculinities.  
• Collaboration: Foster collaboration between government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to create a coordinated response to violence against women.  

5. Addressing Systemic Issues:

• Gender Equality: Promote gender equality in all spheres of life, including the workplace, education, and political participation.
• Indigenous Women and Girls: Address the specific challenges faced by Indigenous women and girls, including historical trauma and systemic racism.

By implementing a comprehensive approach that addresses prevention, support for survivors, justice system reforms, community engagement, and systemic issues, Canada can significantly reduce violence against women and create a safer and more equitable society for all.
