Helping the homeless

The objective of this assignment is to have you start to plan your final paper. The first part of the assignment will have you provide an outline of your paper. Second, you will provide an annotated bibliography that will ask you to read and critically evaluate some the sources that you will be using for your final paper.

Part I – Outline
Provide a bulleted or numbered outline of your paper.
o Include section/subsection titles.
o Include a 1-2 sentence descriiptions of each section/subsection.
Not necessary for introduction or conclusion
Part II – Annotated bibliography
Choose 3 sources that you will use for your individual final paper.
o Do not use class readings for this assignment. They can be used in the final paper,
but I want to see what you have read outside of class
Provide a detailed annotation of the 3 sources.
o Should be between 2-3 paragraphs for each source.
o Evaluation should at least include the following:
APA citation of the source
Summary of the argument
Strengths/weaknesses (example questions to ask)
Did the authors use the correct methods?
Was the sample representative of the population?
Relevance
How does it relate to your topic?
Usefulness
Does this add to your overall paper?
Does it relate to the other papers you are reading?
o If not, does it lead you to another relevant topic?
