Job Summary:

The Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing store operations during the third shift, ensuring efficient and effective workflow, maintaining store security, and providing leadership to the night crew. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong supervisory skills and a background in retail operations, preferably in housewares. The Night Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in preparing the store for the next business day and maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory Leadership:
    • Lead, motivate, and supervise the night shift team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Provide clear direction and delegate tasks effectively.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and provide performance feedback.
    • Resolve employee conflicts and address performance issues promptly.
    • Train and onboard new night shift employees.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee nightly inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient product placement and display.
    • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including backroom and sales floor.
    • Monitor and maintain store security, including alarm systems and surveillance.
    • Prepare the store for daily opening, ensuring all areas are stocked and presentable.
    • Operate and maintain equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
    • Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Accurately record inventory levels and discrepancies.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
    • Minimize inventory shrinkage and loss.
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of merchandise.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations.

    • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Customer Service (Limited During Night Shift):
