Think about how the concept of heroism has changed over the centuries. In today's world, we often consider heroes to be individuals who help others often in circumstances that put them in harm's way and specifically when that help does not personally benefit them. In other words, heroes are selfless, and they take many forms.
reflect on your own interpretation of what it means to be a hero. You can look up the definition of a hero online to read the official, contemporary definition of the term. Or you can draw from personal experience in your past of a person who did something heroic for inspiration.
After you have come up with your own interpretation of a hero, I want you to compare and contrast two Hero myths from this week's materials and determine whether either of your chosen Hero myths characters meet the standards and qualities you came up with to be a hero.
