Performance Improvement Project - Part 2 Groups

The first thing you need to do is share your Part 1 with your group so, your group can decide which project you w
be working on. Second, pick a group leader, third assign Part 2 sections to each member and a due date. (I would
pick the leader by whomever s project you pick because they have to collect the data and have the best
understanding of the project to put it all together,)
Part Two
The student will be assigned to a Performance Improvement Team.
The team will review individual findings from the process monitored in part one.
The team will select a process from the individual portion of this project, or select a totally
different process to study. (If a new process is selected, a new monitoring tool, data collection,
analysis, and written description will need to be completed.)
Once a process has been selected, the team will determine individual roles and responsibilities. The
components that the team will incorporate into the assignment are as follows:
1. Select process to be monitored
2. Gather data, compile, analyze, determine where improvement required
3. Review current process and make changes for improvement (include fish-bone diagram)
4. Develop flow-charts for the old and new processes
5. Develop graphs that portray the team’s findings (i.e. pie chart, histogram, bar graph)
6. Develop implementation plan for new process
7. Develop a plan to evaluate the new process
