It's not enough just to point out flaws in experiments

1) As scientists, it's not enough just to point out flaws in experiments. We always need to think about how experiments could be improved. Considering the built in confound of the hypothetical experiment, what could we do to improve the experiment's methodology to eliminate the confounding variable of exercise? Alternatively, come up with another confound that you think could influence the results and describe how you could design the experiment to avoid the influence of that confound.

2) Share an example of an advertisement/commercial/product that you think is making use of the conditioning principles developed by the behaviourist John Watson. Think of a case in which the company is trying to evoke a feeling in a consumer, so as to better sell their product

3) Many of our views of why people behave in certain ways are based on common myths that we are raised with. Take a moment to reflect on some common views of human nature. Can you think of another example of an illusory correlation that people often believe in?
