Lack of maternal figure in Allie's life

Scenario 3
Allie is one of the only children at her elementary school being raised by two fathers. She is 7 years old, adopted, and is the couple’s only child. Allie has been getting into trouble at school for not following her teacher’s directions, being disruptive in class and refusing to do her work. Her fathers have been called in for school conferences, but they have raised concerns that Allie may be being discriminated against due to her non-traditional family. Overall, her grades are struggling and her teachers are concerned with her lack of willingness to complete her work and her frequent class disruptions.
Use the guide linked in the assignment directions to identify which theory (psychodynamic, learning approaches, humanistic approach, or trait theories) is proposed in each perspective below:
Theory; Interpretation
Theory 1; Allie is struggling with the lack of maternal figure in her life. Seeing other peers with mothers is causing her anxiety. Allie is using defense mechanisms to cope with the anxiety. These unconscious influences are causing her to act out.
Theory 2; Allie is associating getting in trouble with increased attention from her teachers and the principal. She may be enjoying this attention. When she goes home, if there is no consequence for her acting out in school, then the lack of punishment could likely reinforce her behavior.
Theory 3; Allie is a good kid that is feeling confused and possibly lacking unconditional positive regard (especially if she is experiencing discrimination). Her fathers are not complaining about her behavior and the trouble seems to be occurring at school. Therefore, Allie needs the school psychologist or guidance counselor to emphasize a belief in her abilities and to help her to increase her self-esteem.
Theory 4; Allie’s temperament is causing her to have trouble following directions in school. She may struggle more than other kids because of her genetic inheritance towards more hyperactive and oppositional behaviors. Teachers will likely have to work harder with a childlike Allie and need to keep involving her parents with her school needs.
