Leading Digital Literacy

A research brief is a short, non-technical summary of findings intended for decision-makers. Compose a 3- to 4-page research brief addressed to the appropriate official(s) at your school (maybe a librarian, a principal, curriculum director, a literacy specialist, etc.).
Use these questions to guide your response:
• What is media literacy?
• What is digital literacy?
• How can media and digital literacy be used to strengthen the overall literacy program?
• Explain the benefits (at least two) of incorporating the use of media or digital literacy into your school plan (Module 3).
• Provide a minimum of two strategies that demonstrate how media or digital literacy can be used to support culturally responsive teaching (Module 4).
• How will you apply your knowledge from the application assignments to strengthen literacy at your school, including (a) a heightened awareness of cultural responsiveness, (b) recognition of the impact of dyslexia and related disorders on reading acquisition, and (c) the use of technology and digital tools?
