Assignment one: a 2,500 word report: In 2017 Professor Copus published the final report of the Local Governance Research Unit and Municipal Journal Councillor Commission report. A copy of the report can be found here: https://lgru.our.dmu.ac.uk/councillor-commission/reports/ The report was published as a result of work Professor Copus undertook for the House of Commons Communities and Local Government Committee read the report and produce a 2,500 word critique of the document that is to set out the strengths and weakness of the report and recommendations and to suggest what steps are needed to implement the report’s findings.
