Ms Story interviewed Mrs Ivy Maree Chase this morning and has emailed you the instructions to prepare the relevant documents for application for Grant of Probate. The
Will of the late William Arnold Chase has been placed on your desk (see below)
Your Task
We need to prepared all the relevant documents for application a Grand probate (Queensland Australia)
1) An appointment has been made for the client to sign the relevant documents.
2) The client's file has been organised and maintained and a note of the critical dates has been made to remind the solicitor.
3) Research and determine the types of costs in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements for costing legal services.
4) Attach a time sheet showing all the time recording procedures on the file.
So,you are to prepare all the relevant documents for application for a Grant of Probate on behalf of Mrs Ivy Maree Chase who is the executor and trustee of the late
William Arnold Chase's estate.
Follow legal procedures in relation to the preparation of probate court documents.
All relevant probate documentation must be completed to the standard required by the courts.
All documentation must be edited and proofread for accuracy and consistency of information.
You will be marked on the following criteria:
� Ensure that you have the original Death Certificate for the deceased and the original last Will.
� Check Death Certificate has the name, date of death and marital status of the deceased matches the instructions and documents of the client.
� Ensure that the Will has the correct names of the testator, executor/s and beneficiaries.
� Ensure that the Will has been signed and dated.
� The relevant documents to make application for a Grant of Probate have been prepared:
o Title Page.
o Notice of Intention to apply for Probate.
o Letters to relevant papers attaching Notice of Intention.
o Affidavits.
o Application for Probate.
o Grant of Probate.
