Movie analysis

  Watch a movie of your choice. Basically, you’re going to sociologically explain the movie. Focus on the characters in it by using sociological theory. First, determine which theoretical paradigm the movie most closely represents, i.e., structural functionalism, conflict theory, symbolic interaction, or postmodernism. Second, explain your reasoning by integrating the language of the theory and any other sociological terminology from your book. Your ability to explain and apply sociological theory carries the most weight for the overall grade. You'll find additional information for theory in the Essay Resources folder.
