What is his plan upon his return? Why does he execute the plan in this way? What does this plan say about Odysseus? What themes does the ending contain, and how does the ending differ from how you assumed it would end? C)Books 17 & 18 of the Odyssey contain many impoverished characters of low rank (or beggars they are called in some versions). Why did Homer include so many of these characters and what message, if any, is being communicated by their inclusion? Does it saying anything about modern inequality, poverty, or homelessness?
