(The Roman = Pax Romana, Roman Values) (Asia Mesopotamian Pantheon) (Greeks= Troy, Hellenistic period, Greek Arts) • You will create a travel journal presented as a website, blog, social media posting series, or digital storyboard. • Choose a minimum of 3 sites or events from a single period and culture or society covered in the class o Examples of sites: monuments, temples, churches, castles, famous marketplaces, battlefields, statues, painters’ workshops, taverns, etc. o Example of events: gladiator fights, dinner parties, sermons, receptions, parades, religious festivals or ceremonies, marriage ceremonies, etc. • Use at least 4 sources (2 primary and 2 secondary sources—see above for examples) • Descriptions of the 3 sites or events should be at least 300-500 words for each site or event presented. The descriptions should accurately demonstrate the cultural achievements and significance of the society studied and presented. o Consider utilizing phot​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​os of the site or an event that may have been similar to help illustrate your narrative o The travel journal should accurately portray the PERIOD traveled as much as the cultural significance of the sites visited o What this project is NOT: 21st-century travel to these locations • Digital suggestions for the journal: o Google Sites o Blogger o Wix o Weebly o WordPress o Tumblr Overall details: • For each of the above options, you must use at least 4 sources (2 primary and 2 secondary) • Acceptable primary sources include but are not limited to: o Letters o Diaries o Artifacts o Laws • Acceptable secondary sources include: o Academically researched websites o Peer-reviewed scholarly published articles o Professionally researched historical documentaries
