Personal Statement for new graduate registered nurse position.

Instruction: The personal statement should bring out my personality. Describe what being a nurse means to you. Indicate the units of interest {(1)Cardiovascular Thoracic Intensive Care Unit, (2) Pulmonary Medical Intensive Care Unit}. => This is for University of Southern California Hospital***
Some personal interests that could be incorporated:

  1. Assume the role of a primary caregiver during high school to take care of grandmother with last stage liver cancer. Therefore, I learned a lot from bedside nurses, CNAs, doctors, and transporters. Hence, I took an interest in healthcare and especially nursing
  2. Performed well in Critical care course and was nominated to be a supplemental instructor for incoming cohort. Received valuable feedback from other students and enjoyed the critical care environment.
  3. Having ICU experience in many hospitals through clinical rotation such as Children Hospital of Orange County, Garden Grove Hospital, and preceptor shifts at Placentia Linda Hospital.

TLDR: The main things I want to incorporate are the background story of why I became a nurse. WHAT being a nurse mean to me? My experience with teaching Critical Care courses and experience working as a nursing student at various hospitals in the ICU.
