Portfolio

Produce a portfolio (3000 words maximum, equating to c.300 words across the 10 weekly topic areas) reflecting your own personal learning points for each of the main themes covered in the module. The 10 weekly topic areas are: 1. The Project Management Profession 2. Project Organisation & Leadership 3. Project Objectives, Definition and Design 4. Milestone Planning & Critical Path Analysis 5. Resources Management & Project Control 6. Partnering & Contracting Relationships 7. Managing International & Development Projects 8. Managing Project Risk 9. Project Management Methodologies 10. Project Evaluation & Appraisal You should ensure your assignment as a whole addresses and reflects the five intended learning objectives (ILOs) for this module (see page 2 of this document). A marking criteria grid is also available on the Assessments part of the module KLE pages which will be used in the marking of your portfolio assignment. You are encouraged to develop the portfolio throughout the duration of the module, but submit as a single document at the end of the teaching programme. The longer than usual assignment length of 3000 words reflects the fact that you develop this on a weekly basis as the module proceeds, which is different to the production of a standard essay. The assignment should comprise a document with the topic areas as ten subheadings and around 300 words under each of these. The word count excludes the subheadings (around 45-55 words), assignment title headings, and any reference list. Appendices are not allowed. References can be included as appropriate, but should be used sparingly given the constraints on weekly word count. Remember the portfolio is a log of your own personal learning, not a literature review!
