Preparing for Disasters
Over the last couple of years there is a good chance someone you know was affected by disaster. Most likely they were not prepared for the flood, tornado, earthquake, political unrest, or conflict that besieged them. This is too often the case with disasters globally. However, there are ways to reduce risk, minimize impact of disaster, increase resiliency and speed recovery.
Based on your experiences in your own country and this video, what lessons have you learned that might be helpful for developing countries in preparing for a disaster? Please provide examples.
