Now, from a marketers perspective, describe how you would have made this information search experience better?
How did your culture, subculture, beliefs, or values influence your information search and experience?
Product or service never tried or experienced before
Product or Service: I have always been curious about virtual reality (VR), but I have never had the opportunity to try it. I decided to do some research online to learn more about VR and see if it was something I would be interested in experiencing.
Google Search Keywords: I started by searching for "virtual reality" on Google. I found a lot of results, but most of them were for news articles or blog posts about VR. I wanted to find more information about the actual experience of using VR, so I tried searching for "virtual reality reviews" and "virtual reality experiences."
Social Media: I also searched for VR on social media. I found a few Facebook groups and subreddits dedicated to VR, and I read through some of the posts to see what people were saying about their experiences.
Website Search: I also visited a few websites that sell VR headsets and games. I read through the product descriptions and watched some of the video reviews to get a better understanding of what VR was like.
Overall Experience: My experience searching for information about VR was mixed. I found a lot of information, but it was not always easy to find the information I was looking for. Some of the websites were very technical, and I had to do some research to understand what they were talking about. Other websites were more user-friendly, but they did not provide as much detail.
Brand Resonance: One brand that resonated well with me was Oculus. I found their website to be very informative, and I liked the way they presented the information. They also had a lot of positive reviews, which helped to build my trust in the brand.
Information Lacking: One area where I found the information lacking was in the reviews of VR experiences. Many of the reviews were just short descriptions of the experience, and they did not provide much detail about what it was like to actually use VR. I would have liked to see more reviews that went into more detail about the experience, including the pros and cons of VR.
How I Would Improve the Information Search Experience: If I were a marketer, I would focus on making the information search experience for VR more user-friendly. I would create a website that is easy to navigate and that provides clear and concise information about VR. I would also include more detailed reviews of VR experiences.
Culture, Subculture, Beliefs, or Values: My culture, subculture, beliefs, and values influenced my information search and experience in a few ways. First, I am from a culture that values technology, so I was naturally interested in learning more about VR. Second, I am part of a subculture that is interested in gaming, so I was already familiar with some of the terminology used in VR. Finally, my beliefs and values led me to be interested in the potential benefits of VR, such as its ability to provide educational and therapeutic experiences.
Overall, I found my experience searching for information about VR to be informative and helpful. I learned a lot about VR, and I am now more interested in trying it out. I believe that VR has the potential to be a powerful technology, and I am excited to see how it develops in the future.
