Reflection for Public speaking
For your final reflection, due Friday, please respond in a 2 page double spaced essay/speech to the following prompt: The Prompt: Poet Audre Lorde says, “I have come to believe over and over again that what is most important to me must be spoken, made verbal and shared, even at the risk of having it bruised or misunderstood. That the speaking profits me, beyond any other effect.” Given your own experiences and our collective exploration of public speaking, reflect on what is most important to you about public speaking--- what are the important things that you must speak, make verbal and share? How does speaking, or studying speaking, profit you? Purpose: why are we doing this?
