Deloitte Risk Advisory was contracted to conduct an Internal Audit project for ABC CO. who is an interior furniture retailer. They have multiple stores across the 03 regions of Vietnam. However, the Board of Management (BOM) of ABC CO. stated that this was the 1st internal audit in Vietnam which is why they only wanted to start at their flagship store in District 02 Saigon for this year. The scope of this year audit engagement is Sales process (Order to Cash). Prior to fieldwork, the Finance Dept. of ABC CO. sends us the Sales Order details for FY19 (1.OrderDetails) and the Financial Statements of 2019 (2.OperationReport) for Deloitte reference and understanding.
As the Junior Analyst on the team, you are staffed with conducting initial research for the team, including:
- 01 powerpoint file with 03 slides on the following topics:
- 01 slide for Financial performance of 2019 using the data points from Excel OperationReport (including remarks and conclusion)
- 01 slide analyzing the sales revenue in May, July, and September. The required data points are: the total number of sales orders in each of those 03 months (1), the total sales revenue in each of those 03 months (3), the top-selling Catergory 01 in each of those 03 months (3)
- 01 slide on potential risks of a Sales process in such retailer like ABC CO.
