Risky Drinking

OVERVIEW: In this unit wrap-up project, you will apply the PRECEDE-PROCEED Model, as described by Crosby and Noar in their 2011 paper, "What is a planning Model? An Introduction to PRECEDE-PROCEED" to your communication plan for Capstone City Hospital.
Reflect on the readings, assignments and discussions you have completed for the Risky Drinking Case. For this paper, you will write about ONE activity that you would employ at Capstone City Hospital that can be put into place within one year and addresses the alcohol issue. Remember, a complete public health approach to reducing alcohol-related emergency department visits would include perhaps dozens of different activities, but for the sake of this paper, you are choosing ONLY ONE that is specific to the hospital.
Fill in the table below along with your bibliography/references. You must use the template provided here. Bullet points are fine, but use correct grammar and spelling along with correct attributions (i.e. do not plagiarize: do cite ideas from sources when needed).
Please refer to the risky drinking/Capstone City Hospital Case document to make sure you have the case specifics correct.
INSTRUCTIONS: Fill out the PPM table below. Checklist/rubric: Sour es (20 point.) - Your plan should have some connection to a recent, scholarly source from a peer-reviewed journal (see guidelines in Alcohol Assignment 1). You include facts about drinking, alcohol risks or consequences (include sources from your mini literature review in Assignment 1). You MUST cite all fact statements with a primary source. Primary sources can be scholarly articles or large national datasets (such as those collected by the Census Bureau, Pew, Nielsen or others). This might mean you need to find a few more sources to back up your claims. For example, you cannot just say, "College students drink more than anyone else," or "People In rural areas are less likely to have health insurance? Review the lecture "Finding an Article" to brush up on your article finding skills if needed. All fact statements must be cited appropriately using in-text citations and a reference in APA style.
Solution (30 points): Your solution must be specific to Capstone City Hospital and the risky drinking issue in Capstone County. Your solution must be a single intervention plan. Remember, surveys are not interventions. You must do something that impacts behavior. knowledge and/or attitudes.
Your solution should be achievable for a hospital and should use primarily hospital staff and resources. For example, a hospital cannot change alcohol tax laws. Your communication plan takes Capstone County/City populations into consideration. Do not list many different activities. Focus on a single plan.
) - Fill out the PPM model with as much detail as you see in Table 1 of the Crosby and Noar paper (except you do need more detail in Step 6. see below). You may not use any other source for the PPM steps as many papers alter the steps slightly. PPM steps should be related only to your solution. For example, if you are planning a public health parade, you should not write about creating new mandatory quarantine laws as these activities are not related to each other.
Although you may use bullet points, writing should be clear. logical and free from grammar and spelling errors. There is no minimum/maximum length. Make each step as long as it needs to be.
