family members will be traveling together.
Vehicle options:
• You can drive one minivan that fits all eight people and gets 20 miles per gallon
• You can drive two cars that will fit four people each
o One of the cars is a hybrid vehicle that gets 55 miles per gallon
o The other is a standard vehicle that gets 29 miles per gallon
Length of trip and cost:
• It is 616 miles roundtrip.
• It takes approximately 5 hours to drive one way at an average speed of 65 mph
• Gasoline in the US is approximately $3 a gallon
• Gasoline in Canada is approximately $1 per liter
