STEM Writing Contest.

For this assignment, you will write the first draft of an entry for a New York Times STEM Writing Contest. The goal is to choose an issue or question in science, technology, engineering, math or health, then write an engaging 500-word explanation.

Choose a STEM topic you care about.
Make sure your topic is narrow enough that you can cover it well in 500 words or fewer.
Do research, and cite your sources.
You must have at least one source and at least one of your sources must be from either The New York Times, Science News or, Science News for Students.
But be very careful to put quotations around any direct quotes you use, and to cite the source of anything you paraphrase.
