Struggles dealing with bipolar disorder

N​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​eed to write some explanation addressing my past academic record- I struggled with bipolar disorder all my life, finally got help, found the right medications that worked for me (went from D and F's to straight A's on my college transcript), what changes I made and why I feel that I will be successful if admitted to this nursing program. ​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​ Some background about me. Enlisted in the military (USMC) after high school, it was when I was in the military that they were able to properly diagnose my condition, after the military I spent the next several years working with the VA doctors to find the right combination of medicine to keep my mood stable to finally succeed in school​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍​.
