Teaching Students with Exceptionalities

  Students will be presented with iReady Reading achievement data from a 3rd grade classroom (attached). Students will be asked to review the information and (a) enter the data in an Excel spreadsheet, (b) create instructional groups based on the data provided, (c) write a justification for grouping, and (d) discuss what types of instruction each group might receive. When discussing types of instruction, what tier do you think the students should be at? Even though the process is to go from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and then to Tier 3, this data includes baseline and mid-year results. Take a deep dive into each student and decide what instruction they need and how often do they need it.
