The autonomous self and the community

Question: How did Clemantine try to build her "autonomous self" and connections with the
community?
Theme: coming of age, displacement, family, fear, identity, loneliness, love, etc.
How

  1. Note: This is NOT a book review.
  2. Correctly understand the topic and themes of The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War
and What Comes After written by Clemantine Wamariya and Elizabeth Weil,
    "The
Achievement of Desire" by Richard Rodriguez, and "Patriotism and Cosmopolitanism" by
Martha Nussbaum in the HMXP reader. These three readings have very different styles, but
you must analyze all three readings in this essay. If you want to use additional readings from
the HMXP reader, you can do it. However, concentrate your energy and time on these three
readings. Use and compare them to interpret Clemantine's emotions, struggle and growth.
