The Confessions. St. Augustine

Throughout this course, the theme of "the journey" has been our focus. We have read and discussed works both sacred and secular alike. For this final essay, choose one of the short stories we read as well as the Lewis novel and discuss the journeys that the characters/figures undertake throughout. Some of the journeys involve a literal one (such as Psyche), but in your essay, please only discuss a physical journey insomuch as it helps inform your understanding of a deeper spiritual journey. Some possible questions to consider: What do the characters learn? What trials do they face? How do they overcome any challenges? What can we learn from studying the myriad number of journeys in these varied works?
