The energy that makes dialogue possible

In an era where society(ies) find themselves submerged in protests and street riots, political rancor and listlessness, rampant homelessness and economic division; it would seem that “Dialogic Theory” would find a foothold and emerge as a prevailing and leading edge in finding solutions. It is said that “…Difference is the energy that makes dialogue possible. (Arendt, pg. 78)” But if difference is the key, it seems today that ‘difference' is only leading to division. Discuss “Dialogic Ethics” and whether it can apply toward finding solutions to what seems at times a “Cataclysm of insurmountable societal problems” in our world today.
