The mechanism of conducting the survey

  1. Establish the objectives of the survey
  • What do you want to learn?
  1. Choose a method of obtaining survey data. i.e. online, interview, door-to-door, etc.
  • Discuss why such a method was selected to obtain the survey data.
  • Discuss and draw the mechanism of conducting the survey?
  1. For each group of questions in the Questionnaire
  • Discuss how questions are relevant to support research objectives
  • Determine the technique used to measure the attitude (see appendix I) and why?
  • Discuss why such a technique been selected
  • Describe how to compute scale values
  1. If applicable, use techniques like funnel and/or filter to avoid order bias
  2. Sampling Designs
  • Determine your target population
  • Determine your population element
  • How will you choose your sample? - Probability sampling - Non-probability sampling (list the basis)
  • How many people should we interview (volume)?
