Entrance Exam FAQ’s How is the exam structured? The Next-Generation Accuplacer tests on three subjects: arithmetic, writing, and reading. There are 65 questions in total (20 for arithmetic, 20 for reading, and 25 for writing). All questions are multiple choice and you are allowed scratch paper through the entire exam. Can I use a calculator? You cannot use a personal calculator on the entrance exam. There is an on-screen calculator that will be provided to you on some questions if the use of it does not compromise the integrity of the solution and will only aid in performing calculations. What materials do I need to test? You will need scratch paper, a pen/pencil, voucher code and valid form of photo ID. How much does it cost? For every attempt, you will need to pay the $20 voucher code fee to Nightingale at https://nightingale.edu/make-a-payment/ and a proctoring fee. If you are using Examity Live Proctoring, it costs $25 per appointment scheduled. Is it timed? If you are being proctored by Nightingale College, there is a 3 hour time limit. If you are being proctored by Examity, the test is not timed. What is the passing score? The passing score is a 240 or above for each section. How many attempts do I have? There is a cap of 3 attempts per enrollment cycle with no waiting periods in between each attempt. Be aware that you do have to pay the fees listed above for every single attempt.
