Discuss the physical, cognitive and socioemotional development in adolescence. More importantly, it discusses issues many have with; family, school, drugs/alcohol, eating disorders, peers, and overall adolescent problems.
- After reading chapters 11 & 12 would you say YOUR adolescence was more influenced by nature or nurture? Use the information found in these chapters to explain yourself.
Refer to perhaps; physical changes, cognitive issues, peer or family issues, self-esteem, nutrition, self-identity, etc.
These two chapters are filled with different adolescent categories
- What role did some of these topics play for you? Did it/they help or hinder your growth? Was it more nature (biological issues) or nurture (parenting/teacher/environment/etc) that impacted your life? How did peers influence you? Or did they at all?
