The Six Sigma DMAIC methodology

• Explain the project selection process and the factors to consider when choosing to use the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology or other problem-solving processes.
• Identify and explain process components and boundaries, and then illustrate how processes span across multiple functional areas and the challenges derived from process improvement efforts.
• Recognize assorted kinds of benchmarking (i.e., competitive, collaborative and best practices).
• Recognize process input and output variables. Assess their relationships by utilizing the SIPOC model.
• Recognize the process owners and additional stakeholders within a project.
