Topic: Undecided - Open to suggestion/Criminology Major

Order Description am a Criminology major and have just started my Senior Seminar course. I will need to write a 25-35 page thesis and currently need to submit a Topic Statement - I have not decided on a topic and need help with that. I am interested in Nature vs. Nurture, but do not know if that is something that can be linked to an acceptable research question. I am open to suggestions. Drug and substance abuse is associated with many negative effects on the life of the abuser. Those who abuse drugs face the risks of developing health complications such as cancer disorder in many organs of their bodies. Many addicts claim that they find pleasure in using drugs. However, it is questionable on how suffering can bring pleasure at the sometime. It is actually paradoxical how self-destruction can balance the pleasure and pain in the same individual. Drug abuse is a practice that is illegalized by the laws of many countries use of them brings into a collision point between the interests of the individual with those of the state. In terms of health failure, drug abuse facilitates mental retardation, memory loss or even disarrange of the functionally of the human mind resulting to impaired reasoning and poor decision making. This study aims at developing a chronological presentation of ideas concerning drug abuse and the effects that accompany them. There are many things that bring people closer to drugs. The most common is that of the peer pressure. Many people are turning to drugs because they fear to be disqualified from their social groups. Thus, drugs can be resulted from a bad influence. The other reason why people introduce themselves in the drug and substance abuse is because they lack psychological unrests. People believe that when they take drugs, they resolve their problems in almost 50%. The other issue why people take drugs and substance is because is for them to prove that they can do whatever their peers can. Economic crisis in many families is brought drug addiction behaviors. This research identifies these disadvantages and tries to go deeper in explaining what drugs are capable o and what that those in addiction stage are supposed to do. Also, drug abuse and substance use lead to family breakages. In this connection, drugs are the biggest contributor to the increasing level of infidelity in marriages. thus, the researches identify better ways of doing away with drugs for the sake of promoting peaceful coexistence among those involved. Other effects of drugs are mentally based. A drug addicts experiences hallucinations which affect their way of reasoning straight. There are several ways of stopping being drug addicts. Drug addiction can be treated in the hospital after that tests the affected individual gains and method instructions. Rehabilitation centers are the other way on how the solution for drug abuse can be dealt with without causing havoc among the members of the family. This is a method that is totally costly and requires the addict or his family to pay the extra amount to the facility to help in the regulation of the drug use. Thus, this topic statement is aimed at identifying the ethical and moral failure associated with drug and substance abuse. All that can be done to facilitate healthy living and which
