Integrate learning from this course and demonstrate understandings of major epistemological stances (positivism/post-positivism, constructivism and critical theory) and how they impact how practice, teaching, learning and/or research are conceptualized. Students must draw on theory to build their representation of the major features of each epistemology, carefully documenting how various writers have contributed to their thinking. Explicit connections should be made between theory, practice and experience. Analysis and critique of the implications of epistemologies on theory and practice, as well as, student’s own epistemological preferences and commitments should be included in the paper.
